My client is a Global Healthcare organisation is focused on the design, development and commercialisation of a diverse portfolio of device technology solutions to enable delivery for our large and growing range of generic and branded products around the globe.



Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Working within design teams to develop drug delivery devices, you will apply your technical skills and management experience to meet the challenges of developing combination products in a multi-project, multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Lead and manage the creation and iteration of product designs from concept and through the preparation of detailed specifications and transfer to high volume manufacture.
  • Applying solid engineering principles and your experience of device design, materials, manufacturing processes, finishing and assembly you will navigate complex constraints in the design space to achieve robust, cost-effective, functional device designs and coach others to do the same.


The minimum qualifications for this role are:
  • First or upper second mechanical engineering degree.
  • Excellent people management skills and experience
  • Strong technical skills and passion for mechanical engineering and mechanism design.
  • Tangible experience of design for manufacture of high-volume moulded parts and assemblies for medical or drug delivery applications
  • Experienced with 3D CAD; Creo and/or Solidworks, analysis of tolerances, and simulation techniques (FEA, CFD) as applied to development of high-volume products
  • Awareness of the principles of Design Control within ISO 13485 & FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
