Our client is a well-established Pharmaceutical organisation, based in Dublin. This role is focussed on implementing the division strategies across our clients core business in the Optics and retail Pharmacy channels. The successful person shall work with a team of 2 Sales Managers, 1 Key Account Manager and their team of (14+) Business Development managers to ensure that all of our clients product portfolio is managed and promoted in line with the company objectives and targets. This will involve promoting our clients entire range of therapies, devices, diagnostic equipment, services, Prescription medicines and food supplements. You will be responsible for liaising with the Directors and other Department heads to ensure that all facets of the divisions are running smoothly, on target and within budget. This role requires a very strong understanding of the Optometry and Pharmacy Sectors – including Independent, Regional and National Chain organisations. The role will require you to spend min 50% of your time in the field with the Sales Managers and their teams and also time in the Head Office in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:
·Serve as the Second line manager to 2 Sales Managers / 1 KAM on a day to day basis. . Monitor and assess their own performance and support their IDP.
·Work with Product Managers (Marketing) to ensure all Brand Plans are being carried out in the field by the relevant teams.
·Implement, via your team, the strategic plan for growing our clients business through the key National Accounts – in both sectors.
·Coordinate with L&D to ensure all of our clients BDM/SM’s are continuing to develop their clinical and sales skills.
·Work with Sales managers and HR to ensure all BDM’s are being assessed properly.
·Ensure that Sales Managers and BDM have accurate reports and are using them to better manage their division and individual territories.
·Review division performance with Directors based on all agreed KPI’s
·Monitor any policy changes that may have an impact on our clients business.
·Work to help create a very focussed team who have clear objectives and a results focus.
·Encourage a strong team focus within the teams and the embodiment of our clients core values.
·Support and develop Hi-potential team members to grow within their team and within the organisation.
·Work to encourage a strong relationship between Sales and Marketing.
·Effective communicator with all levels – both internally and externally.
·Work with Directors to set clear and transparent Targets for all teams.

Qualifications/Education:
·Business or Science related third level qualification required
·Masters /MBA in related field – Business, Sales, Marketing - preferable
·Professional qualifications and memberships desirable
·10+years’ in sales with experience in a related areas (Optometry / Pharmacy) – preferable
·Flexible approach to managing work life balance and prepared to travel regularly across UK and between Ireland the UK.
·Personal Effectiveness - must be able to work under pressure and autonomously; successfully manage a very diverse and demanding workload.
·Experience in account management is desirable
·Ability to take on challenging product knowledge for a broad and diverse portfolio
·Ability to influence and lead others without direct-line management responsibility
·Energy, resilience and enthusiasm is a key advantage in this role
