EHS Specialist
Responsibilities
- Maintain ETMS TO DO LIST.
- Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws.
- Assist in the maintenance of an effective EHSMS system.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation and Standards by ensuring all required EHS documentation is up to date and readily available.
- Educate and engage employees in efforts to optimise EHS performance.
- Ensure EHS audits are conducted and all issues effectively closed out.
- Promote continuous improvement in all environmental and safety matters.
- Ensure implementation of the waste management strategy, continually striving to reduce impact on the environment.
- Ensure all EHS incidents are investigated to establish causation and resolution.
- Assist in workstation assessment programme.
- Promote, implement and participate in safety committees
- Co-ordinate inspections by regulatory bodies as required.
- Ensure permit completion in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Manage and co-ordinate vendors and contractors where there is an EHS impact, and in accordance with local legislation.
- Develop and deliver EHS Training Courses.
- Ensure compliance to monthly ETMS requirements.
- Assess and determine the introduction of new equipment, hazards, processes and chemicals.
- Ensure compliance to ETMS Requirements.
Education & Experience
- You will have a third level qualification in an Environmental Science/ Occupational, safety and health or related discipline is a necessary requirement for this position.
- At minimum of at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
Any applicant must be eligible to work in Ireland. Existing work permit or EU passport required.
