Calibration Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known medical device company in Dublin. The purpose of this position is to manage the site calibration system in accordance with internal procedures and relevant regulatory obligations.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure calibrations are completed within timelines, to procedures and with minimal disruption to site operations
  • Ensure calibration paperwork is completed to a GDP standard and is filed and maintained in an audit ready state
  • Maintain calibration procedures in a compliant manner
  • Provide system reports including OOT’s, metrics, trending and weekly schedules and activities
  • To be the site Subject Matter Expert regarding calibration to auditors (Regulatory, Internal, Corporate and Customer)
  • Actively propose and execute improvements to the calibration system in agreement with relevant management
  • Manage any contract or external calibration vendors under the site calibration system
  • Other duties as requested by the Engineering team.

Educational Requirements:
Degree/ Diploma in Instrumentation or City & Guilds with considerable experience

Relevant Experience:

  • At least 6 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 3 years recent experience working in a regulated environment with high volume manufacturing.
  • preferably candidates will come from within a medical devices/ pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using computerised calibration management systems
  • Ability to understand P&ID, Pneumatic and Electrical drawings
  • High speed automation/ vision system knowledge
  • Six sigma or lean manufacturing project experience
  • High level of computer literacy
